***(Throat clear, left eye squint)……Here-yee Here-yee, why on earth do we have yet another case of this “bafoonery.”
It’s real disappointing to see young women, in college, blah blah blah….act like this. For one, the video’s title alone tears down a whole university. I honestly don’t even want to know who or what this fight is behind……my fightey senses tell me …..BOY, but hey it could’ve just been behind the typical, ” I don’t like you for no apparent reason”- reason too. Hey, what if it’s a combination? Either way, these girls should be embarrassed, people are being killed, starved, and tortured, while young people take their education for granted and use free time to provoke ignorance. #wehavetodobetter.

To walk about in the world loving one thing alone, stabs you. No one seems to understand your joy, your passion, your pain or your will to suffer for this thing. This thing that you love so dearly….this thing that you watch mainstream America destroy and turn into ring-around-the-rosie. They turn your $200 dollar meal into nothing more than a soggy Mcdonalds fry, taking your vintage gear only to replace it with mall bought, MAINSTREAM accessory.
For a while, you fill the need to fight and defend your love. You feel the need to define it and re-define it, hoping the world gets the definition right, so they can eventually, represent your love correctly. To walk around talking to the deaf and holding two fingers up in front of the blind only becomes unbearable when you realize, you stand in cold heavy armor to fight alone. Skies of self expression get cloudy, cloudy is good for the art form, but when the rain fills up to your eye lids and your lungs become saturated with the negativity you fight to keep away…honestly…shit gets messed up for you and that love.
It may be too early, pre mature and foolish of me to claim, but, I may have found another maniac loving this one thing nearly as much as I do. I may have found another shameless warrior willing to fight for hip hop, willing to fight for music. I see this post as a call to action, a call to question…..Is there anyone else out there willing to die for this? Is there anyone out there willing to LIVE for this? Anyone else out there willing to give back to the art form that they have used to build their entire “swag” and culture with? Anyone else with a voice screaming until its hoarse about how they feel in 16 bars, mixtape mixes, major chords, or B flat tunes?
As I sit here, with a bit of that rain I talked about earlier, leaking from my eyelids, I am refreshed by this new presence of authenticity in my life, and for the first time in years, I see a shadow of the sun.
Its great to share a love, appreciate real.

I appreciate this text (courtesy of Letter Cult)…mainly because I too often look out my window and see too many of such robots. Paper robots.
